Who are leading the governing body? Who is in charge of them? I don't mean the shareholders. It seems more like they are puppets on a string to some degree. We can all see that Tony Morris is definitely calling some shots. And I guess Geoffrey Jackson when he so decisively said no that that two witness rule would not change. But power has considerably changed from when Fred Franz or Knorr were president. -

Only a few days ago I was entirely lost and without hope the rug was pulled out from under me
by elderess inonly a few days ago i was walking around the house in a mindless wander thinking if i needed to seek professional help.
then i got the courage to seek the comfort of complete strangers on the internet and found a world of support here on this website.
thank you simon and whoever else has made this website possible.

This is such fantastic news to wake up have those blinders off both your and your husband's eyes. Enjoy. And don't forget the power of prayer for your children. They can be helped too. May Our our Holy Father and Jesus Christ along with the Holy Spirit be with. -

Jehovah, not using it as God's names so much even though I much prefer Yahweh. But emphatically because the Watchtower org. Uses it interchangeably with themselves. It is a substitute for the watchtower. They don't know where God stops and the org or for that matter the gb begins. -

Living as Christians at the C.L.A.M this week
by Truthexplorer inthis weeks meeting under the section - living as 'christians', starts off with 'repentance makes a difference', which is a talk given by an elder taken from w06 11/15 27-28 par 7-9. in a nut shell it discusses those who have been disfellowshipped and then show repentance.
it then goes on to discuss reinstatement and how a certain amount of time must pass by before this can take place.
it makes the following point in the paragraph.. 'a disfellowshipped person is not automatically accepted back into the congregation after a certain amount of time has passed.

The congregation I originally submitted my d/a letter to has changed considerably in faces but not attitude. They are still gossipers, back biters, snobs, and extremely cruel to those df'd and d/a'd. Even though 25 yrs passed they wanted a min of 24 months to go by before reinstating could occur. I should say there were some loving sis and bro but by far majority are as above. Cong I now go to wanted me back at 6 mo., then at 10 months. Orig elders kept playing games. Refused to answer phone calls, didn't return calls. Lied to elders. When they had me for their meeting, they interrigated for 3 hrs each time, you can only imagine how it felt. There were multiple times they told my elders they came to decision they were ready to send letter and no letter would come. Finally it came last week. And yes its for personal reasons. We all know my relationship with our Heavenly Father and his Son is not dependent on them. Now I walk a very fine line for reasons known by Him. -

I would and already have honored my father's choice. Several years ago my father had a life threatening heart aneurysm. He needed open heart surgery of couse he wanted bloodless. He calls up after shunning me for 15 yrs and asks me to help him find a Surgeon. I did and also had him recooperate at my house. He did not shun me after that. He is 85 now. -

WT beliefs keep somebody I know from suicide, any suggestions?
by EndofMysteries inthe religion is like being on a dangerous drug or major abuser of alcohol in which suddenly stopping it will kill them even though remaining on it is also killing them.
someone i know has poor health, on welfare and very poor, and unable to turn around and change their life.
they are very depressed and been on care and had several close calls and suicidal thoughts.

Yes when you say care, I trust you mean this person is being seen by psychologist. The one thing that clicked in my head and made me determined not to ever make a deliberate move to take my life was what my son said to me. He said you keep thinking everyone will forgive you. That it will end your hurt. Mom what you NEED to think about is the hurt that everyone of us is going to have to live with for the rest of our lives. We love you mom and by doing this you make us feel that the only one you cared about was the one you killed your self over. Don't you love us enough to stay alive for? His words changed me.
I truly feel the Wtbts trains you to feel you must commit suicide. Just like they say you won't be happy if you leave. For me at 1st I was told I would be apart of my expectant ggrandbabies'lives then when they were born, I was told I couldn't be.

When one takes seriously the adult charechism book and studies it, researching all scripture, I believe one can find it is a good decision. It must be their personal decision. There are a couple of converted ex jws on ewtn tv, the Catholic evangelizing station that show how worthy it is. I have become Episcopalian but really my religion of choice is Anglican.Go prayerfully to our Father and together make your choice. -
